Meet the Promise.
To be successful it’s going to take a citywide effort. We ask that you stand with us and meet The Promise of Philadelphia.
A promise is nothing without a plan to keep it.
We hold these truths
to be unacceptable —
I recognize that more than 350,000 of our neighbors are living below the poverty line. I also understand that poverty is not a choice, but a legacy.
Philadelphia was built on the promise of equality, equity, and opportunity. Yet generation after generation we fall short. Now is the time we keep that promise – to our city and to each other.
As a proud city filled with heart and grit, we can do this. We can choose to end this vicious cycle here and now.
Together, we can foster stability for those in financial crisis. Together, we can advance access to jobs and opportunities. Together, we can build a future where all individuals thrive.
I support The Promise’s efforts to mobilize our communities and deliver the resources needed to help 100,000 of us rise above.
We can make our city better for all of us. The time to keep that promise is now.
I PLEDGE to support the promise for a better Philadelphia.
